Night Observation at Astroport, Sariska
A trip to Astroport Sariska was organized by Space India, for learners of the Astronomy club for an overnight observation on 16th and 17th of February, 2023.
Twenty students (10 – grade 6 and 10 – grade 7) and three teachers participated in the obsrvation.
The students learnt about how a microscope is different from a telescope and more about Stellarium, a software that shows realistic sky in 3D.
They learnt about Planisphere reading and tracing stars and constellations in the sky and also the basics of Astrophotography. The learners saw Mars and Jupiter on the telescope too. It was a fun-filled experience full of learning.
