Suncity School, Sector 54, Gurugram hosted the much-awaited Annual Sports day on 24^th January’23 on the sprawling grounds of the school. The morning was filled with great zeal, excitement and a frolicsome atmosphere. The Annual Sports day was held for grades V, VI, IX and XI. The event began with the juniors of grades III and IV participating in a great amalgamation of track and field events and some interesting yet fun races. They tested their strength in various events such as 50, 100, 200 meters races, three-legged races, Hula Hoop races, Relay races, Balance the coin, Sir Walter Raleigh race, The hockey stick and the Ball race and Cycling race.

Next, was the turn of the seniors from grades IX and XI. The energetic and nimble-footed participants performed and won the various events with flying colours. It was a wonderful display of agility, coordination, strength and stamina by the Suncitizens in various events such as the 100, 200 and 400 meters track events, Relay race for girls and boys, and the 800 meters boys open event for grade XI.   

The zealous audience comprising of our students, gathered in large numbers, and constantly applauded the enthusiastic young sports stars.

Our Direcor, Mrs Rupa Chakravarty rewarded the winners with medals and certificates and congratulated them for their victory.

Indian house emerged as the winner!

The event continuously laid the emphasis of sports in a child’s life and physical and mental development. It was a day filled with sportsmanship, enthusiasm and memories to cherish.
