Saturnalia 2022 For Grades VII

Suncity School celebrated its annual extravaganza-Saturnalia for grades VII & VIII on Saturday, 10 December 2022. The Chief Guest for the event was Major General(Dr.) Bipin Bakshi, Veteran as the Chairman Mr. Ankit Goel presided over the fiesta. The special guests for the evening were Ms Alka Singh, Member Suncity Managing committee member, Secretary GPSC and Principal, Blue Bells model school. The show commenced with the Lighting of the Lamp Ceremony which was accompanied by the holy chants from the Vedas. This was followed by the classical raga based musical and vocal rendition- Udhghosh.

Following which there was the drama written in-house, Swadeshanurag.. It concluded with the grand finale on both the days which kept the audience mesmerized with the stunts, aerials, human throws, gravity defying steps and the unique formations leaving the audience with the message of courage, valour and sacrifice.. true martyrdom for our country to thrive and reach the pinnacle to be called the ‘Sone ki chidiya’ once again.

The audience were mesmerised by the vocal and musical rendition of the school choir and orchestra in- Samahaar, an Indo-Western song and instrumental symphony. The moment all had been awaiting finally arrived-the theatrical extravaganza, Swadeshanurag, that beautifully showcased India’s inspiring independence journey and the commendable achievements by the nation. The esteemed guests, the School Chairman, accompanied by the School Director, Mrs Rupa Chakravarty, launched the school annual magazine- Synergy, an amalgamation of the creative ideas and memorable achievements of the school students. This was followed by the Prize Distribution Ceremony, wherein the remarkable achievements of the students were lauded.

As the event drew closer towards conclusion, the School Head Boy, Siddharth Anmol Bhatnagar, shared a sentimental Note of Gratitude. The highlight of the annual fiesta was the Grand Finale-Kesari, which had the stage literally bedazzle the audience with synchronised acrobatic stunts, graceful aerial dance performance and vibrant patriotic fervour. The event concluded with the National Anthem, a befitting finale for the year that celebrated Swadeshanurag!
