Authors meet at Suncity School, sector 45
As part of the English and Sports week, Suncity School sector 45 hosted an event called Authors Meet on Monday, 21st November 2022.
Our young student writers, Shivika Jain, Neerja Sonowal, Anvi Tuteja, Aarya Saraf, Parvni Garg and Aarna Sharma from Sector 54 branch were invited for this event.
Our students made their dreams come to life by writing and publishing their very own books during and some even after the pandemic. They went a step ahead and shared their reading journey with students of Sector 45 branch and offered words of encouragement to them along with techniques and strategies they thought that worked for them during their writing journey. Some children narrated a poem from their book while others read an excerpt. But most of all, they motivated other to read daily so as to write better.
Suncity student authors graciously gifted a signed copy of their books to the Principal, Ms. Nandita Bagchi and certainly their books will now occupy a heart-warming place of honour in the Principal’s office. The visit was indeed a memorable one and all were lavish in praise over the achievements made by the students who hoped they ignited the spark in many more to begin writing because “The secret to getting ahead is getting started” – Mark Twain.
