An inter-house patriotic song competition named ‘Deshmatrika’ was conducted in school on 5th August, 2022. There were 25 participants from Grades III-X in each group of singers from the four houses and the event was graced by Mr. Ujjwal Mishra who was the judge for the competition. The mellifluous singing performances commenced with the National song- Vande mataram and concluded with the National Anthem of India. The judge appreciated the participants and shared his views with the students before declaring the results of the competition. The Atlantic house secured the 1st position with the Assamese song ‘Mular dehore gaabhru moi’ and the Pacific House won the 2nd position with the Telugu song- ‘Pillalara papallara, repati Bharat pourullara’. The Indian and the Arctic houses secured the third position with their rendition of an Odiya and a Malayalam song respectively. The event strengthened the spirit of patriotism in our students and enhanced their interest in music as well.
