Two Asst. Head Teachers, Ms. Sophie Smith and Mr. Matt Rowley, visited Suncity School on 20 July 2022. It was heart-warming to meet our UK Partner School Educators after a two year gap. The objective of the meeting was to strengthen our association and build on a decade long friendship and partnership. Both schools have exchanged several British Council’s ISA Projects in the years gone by.

The Senior Faculty and Student Council members welcomed our UK Colleagues. This was followed by a Welcome Dance and Instrumental Orchestra presentation by the Performing Arts students. The performances were enthralling and captivating. They met the Director, Mrs Rupa Chakravarty, and had an engaging, lively conversation. Matt and Sophie complimented the wide array of books published by Suncity Student authors that occupied a heart-warming place of honour in the Director’s room. They also wished to get details of all the coveted honours associated with the trophies on display. This was followed by visiting classrooms and catching up with the students in the corridors that were bedecked with Maths and ICT Week décor. They attended lesson sessions in Senior School and interacted with the students. This was followed by a school tour to the MI Lab, International Academia and Spa Block.

The visit was indeed a memorable one and the educators were lavish in praise over the excellence in the life skills displayed by the students as well as the incredible opportunities and facilities the school offered for the students.
