A session on POCSO and other legal formalities was held on Friday, 1st July 2022. The session focused on the following topics: -

• POCSO (Protection of Child from Sexual Offence)

Mr. Sumit Pahwa briefed the teachers about the POCSO act. He shared that the act is gender-neutral and prioritizes the child’s best interest at all stages to guarantee that the child’s physical, emotional, intellectual and social development are healthy. He further highlighted the role and responsibilities of the school as well as educators towards the same.

• POSH (Protection of women from sexual harassment)

Ms. Preeti Pahwa briefed the teachers about the POSH act. She shared the POSH act, as mandatary compliance, requires every company having more than ten employees to constitute an Internal Complaints Committee (ICC) in the prescribed manner to receive and address complains of any sort of sexual harassment from women in a time-bound and confidential manner.

It was an informative and fruitful session.
