The Suncity School, sector-54 organized an Orientation Programme for the new set of parents on Saturday, 5^th March 2022. The objective was to familiarize the parents, ‘as partners in progress’, with the curriculum, rules and regulations of the school, teaching methodologies and the co-curricular activities.

The programme commenced with a warm welcome note followed by prayers. Ms. Sangeeta Bagchi, Headmistress Elementary Years Programme, addressed the gathering. She began the session with a fun and exciting activity which made the parents experience first-hand how well our curriculum is designed, integrating multiple intelligences, Design Thinking and Sustainable Development Goals. Ms. Bagchi explained how imperative it is to ignite the curiosity of young minds with a variety of examples, emphasizing the point and impressing on the fact that an inquisitive mind makes learning effortless.

Thereafter, the parents were given an overview of the various subjects like English, Mathematics, Hindi and the co-curricular activities which assured them that the curriculum involves self-directed, hands-on learning activities which not only give vent to the creative talents and energies but also help in the holistic development of the child.

The orientation programme proved to be a sincere effort made by the school in educating the parents to look after and guide their children in a proper manner.
