The inaugural assembly of the Suncity SDG Lab was organized in Suncity School on Thursday, 11th November 2021. The lab is a collaborative effort of Suncity School and DAIS, an organisation based in Delhi, that has the achievement of SDGs as one of its core objectives. Esteemed guests from The DAIS, Mr. Keshav Gupta, Founder; Mr. Nikhil Chandra, Brand Strategist Associate; Ms. Jasmine Susan Jose, COO; Mr. Siddharth Ojha and Mr. Dikshant Sharma, Partners; along with Director Suncity Schools, Ms. Rupa Chakravarty, graced the occasion. The assembly began with invoking god’s blessings following which, Aryan Chadha, the young author from class IX, Suncity School, talked in brief about his published compilation of self- composed poems. This was followed by a brief on integration of Sustainable Development Goals in the school curriculum and students’ perspective of the same. Following that, Mr. Keshav Gupta and Ms. Jasmine Susan Jose enlightened the audience about the vision of DAIS and the objectives of the SDG lab. Lastly, the gathering was addressed by Ms. Rupa Chakravarty, where she presented her perspective of the SDG goals, vision of the lab and thanked the guests for their efforts in setting up the lab and also gracing the occasion. The assembly culminated in the National Anthem, following which, the guests were escorted to the venue for the inauguration ceremony. The MOU was signed between Director, Ms. Rupa Chakravarty and Ms. Jasmine on behalf of DAIS.

This was followed by an extensive discussion on the relevance of the SDGs in today’s society and school education among the members of DAIS and the senior student council members.
