Inter School Yoga Competition
The Suncity School Yogis showcased their flexibility, strength, endurance, and balance of body and mind in the Inter-School Yoga competition’ Divine Yoga-Fitness for All’ organized by Aryaman Vikram Birla Institute of Learning, Haldwani on 21st June’21 on the virtual platform. The total number of schools participated was 18.
Our 3 Yoga champions Purva Bang of grade VI A, Yuvika Bang, and Aryaveer Lohia of grade IXF participated in the Junior Girls, Senior Girls, and Senior Boys Categories respectively. The competition was conducted in two rounds. In the first round, Purva and Aryaveer secured 3rd position and Yuvika Bang was at 2ndposition. All three candidates were selected for the final round. In the final round, Purva won the 1st position in the junior girls and Aryaveer secured the 3rd position in the senior boys’ category. The occasion of International Yoga Day was a blessing for them and our yogis reinforced the fact that consistency and discipline in practice can transform an opportunity into success.
There was a spectacular display of talent and confidence which redefined fitness goals for all. The performance was assessed based on the technical presentation, complete posture, and retention of the final posture.
