Mother

“Of all the gifts life has to offer, mother is the greatest of them all.” The virtual celebration of Mother’s Day on 14th May,2021 was a genuine display of this emotion and an apt presentation of the expression of gratitude towards mothers.

The programme commenced with Matrivandana followed by the Head girl, Diya Bhatnagar’s welcome speech who requested the director Mrs. Rupa Chakravarty to address the gathering. In her address, she emphasized on the importance of the role played by parents in a child’s life and how the child should support the parents when the time arrives. She also highlighted the importance of mother nature and how we must protect it to hand it over to the future generations.

The heart touching rendition ‘Punarutthan’ enraptured the audience. A mother’s role is not limited to only loving her children but also showing them the right path. ‘Matritwa’ was the depiction of mother’s role displayed through the well synchronized moves of the dancers. The poetry by tiny tots interspersed in between various performances charmed the audience

‘Aamee’ was yet another demonstration of what a mother does and how her roles cannot be showcased even in innumerable expressions. Her job as a mother is incessant.

The programme was a display of the students’ love, gratitude and sense of appreciation for their mothers. It concluded with gratitude note presented by the Head boy, Aaryan Sethi.
