“Mother’s love is the most unconditional and the purest form of love.”

The bond between a mother and a child is beyond understanding. To celebrate the same bond of love and affection, and to express gratitude towards mothers, the students of Elementary Years Programme celebrated Mother’s Day on the virtual platform on Friday, 14^th May 2021.

The day started by watching the special assembly presented by the students of Suncity school. They all bestowed beautiful performances on the occasion of Mother’s Day. The Director of Suncity schools, Ms. Rupa Chakravarty, addressed the children and talked about the joy and happiness a mother gives to her child. She shared that a mother always stands by the child when the child is going through pain or pleasure. No one in the world can take the place of a mother. While addressing the audience, she also apprised the children of the fact that there is nothing greater than a mother’s blessing and can help a child reach the pinnacle and lead a happy and peaceful life. While wishing everyone a Happy Mother’s Day, she also sensitized the children with their duties towards Mother Earth and making it a better place to live for the future generations.

The day was further planned with a myriad of activities involving both, mothers and children. The little ones expressed their love for their mothers by singing and dancing. They had great fun playing games with their mothers and truly made them feel special. Children of Pre-nursery pampered their mothers and showered their love on them by decorating their nails and doing nail art. The students of Nursery gave a head message to their mothers and the children of Kindergarten made beautiful bracelets for their mothers. The mothers were overwhelmed and touched by the loving and caring gestures of the little ones.

No celebration is complete without savouries. To make the day all the more special for the mothers, the little chefs of all the three grades prepared a tasty and sumptuous snack for their mothers.

Gratitude, appreciation and acknowledgment could be seen in the efforts put in by the children to make it a memorable day for their mothers. It was a day full of fun, admiration and merriment.
