The students of Elementary Years Programme celebrated Earth Day on the 22^nd of April 2021, on the virtual platform. Earth Day, a day not only to celebrate our love for the natural world but to also acknowledge our duty to take care of and protect it.

The teachers sensitized the students towards life on Earth. The little ones discussed ways to protect the planet from things like pollution and deforestation. They learnt of various ways to contribute their bit to help society to save Mother Earth. The importance of conserving natural resources, energy and 4R’s -Refuse, Reduce, Reuse and Recycle, were discussed in the classes. They were encouraged to use cloth/jute/paper bags instead of plastic ones. They were taught to segregate wet and dry waste in different coloured bins.

The little toddlers of Pre-nursery made models of Earth with play dough and expressed their love towards Mother Earth by watering the plants, conserving energy by switching off the lights and fans and planting a sapling with their parents’ help.

The children of Nursery dressed up as superheroes and took a pledge to save the Earth. They also made beautiful posters on Earth Day.

The Kindergarten students made beautiful posters to express their love for Mother Earth. Some of the children recited poems on Earth Day.
