Medium: Online on Microsoft Teams

Objectives: The objective of the online session was about the ethics to safeguard oneself while using social network sites like Facebook, Instagram, and WhatsApp.

Mr. Rakshit Tandon, a well-known name in the field of cyber security, is amongst the best online security professionals of the country. He has played an instrumental role in contributing towards the Children Online Protection Act in India, and his work has been appreciated by the UNICEF in a report on the same subject. Online sessions were shared with students. The session began with the way students should engage themselves during this time of Covid ‘19 and talked about ways for fruitful engagement. Students can engage themselves in paintings, drawings instead of being on screen all the time. Mr. Tandon highlighted through his video the critical issues of cybercrime and also about the recent incidents that happened and suggested measures to safeguard children from falling into the cyber trap.

He urged each one the students responsibly utilize internet on various available devices, for internet is a blessing if used wisely else human acts like hacking etc. are making this boon turn into curse. The objective behind was to prevent students from falling prey to any online crime. Also, at the same time he encouraged them to use internet responsibly and with mindfulness. The do’s and don’ts of usage of internet and best practices while being online was also shown to the students,.
