Emotional Well Being Of Children During Stressful Times

A session was conducted for the children as well as the parents to deal with their 'Emotional well being during stressful times' on 22nd May'20 by the School Counsellor, Ms. Harsimran Kaur for the respective classes. The focus of the session was to make children and parents understand what emotions, emotional well being mean and from there to take on the effect of it on our well being when a person faces stress. The talk highlighted the psychological and emotional symptoms one may face during stressful times as well as how to deal with it by realizing the problem, identifying it, maintaining a positive environment, encouraging each other, being mindful, to help keep up children’s self esteem, listening and respecting their feelings and encouraging them to practice gratitude exercises.

A small video from the movie 'Inside out' and an image displaying 56 different emotions was attached to expand a little more on emotions. The aim of the talk was to make children and parents 'aware' as well as 'equipped' to handle the situation we all are in.
