On 21st December 2019, the middle and senior wing of Suncity School celebrated their Annual Day Function , namely “ Saturnalia”, with great enthusiasm and zeal. The entire school participated wholeheartedly towards the success of this grand event. The triumph was possible by the relentless efforts of the Director- Mrs. Rupa Chakravarty , the Principal- Mrs. Sandeepa Rai, the staff and the students.

Dr. Sarvesh Naidu , Executive Director Pathways Schools was the Guest of Honour for the event. The presence of the esteemed guest Mr. SK Jindal along with the Management Trustee Mr. LN Goel and the Chairman Mr Ankit Goel enhanced the glory of the function. In his speech, The Honourable Guest Dr.Sarvesh Naidu emphasised on Progressive Education, 21^st century jobs and a new future for the next generation . He also congratulated Suncity School for producing socially responsible and capable students.

The event started off with lighting of the lamp and  Invocation(Shloka) recited by students to which the Panel of Dignitaries performed the Lamp Lighting Ceremony.

The theme for the Annual Day was the same as the theme of the year “ Nurture Nature” which was presented meticulously by students from grades IX and  XI. The journey show cased origin of fusion music , English Drama , Hindi Drama , Prize Distribution and The Grand Finale. The School’s Annual Report was presented by the Director, Mrs. Rupa Chakravarty. This included the achievements of the school  and also highlighted the milestones achieved during the last academic session.

The Honourable Guest Dr. Sarvesh Naidu and the esteemed Guest Mr. SK Jindal were visibly impressed by the impeccable performance showcased by the students across the grades. In his speech to the audience, Dr Naidu appreciated the choice of theme and its immense impact on the minds of youth. Mr. SK Jindal in his speech said that he was astonished to observe the students perform with superlative grace and perfection.

Finally, the Vote of Thanks was delivered by the School Head Boy. He acknowledged the efforts of the Students, Teachers, and Supporting Staff and thanked the esteemed guests for their precious time and presence. This was followed by the Grand Finale , A Pledge on Conservation of Nature and finally the National Anthem as a tribute to the nation.
