REPORT- Voices: Lotus Valley School

Two students accompanied by a teacher went to Lotus Valley School, Noida on 7th November to participate in the LVIS Student's Conclave. The event started with the Welcome address by the Principal, Dr. Ruchi Seth, and a cultural extravaganza, featuring soft Sufi music and beautiful dances portrayed by the talented students. The esteemed chief guest, His Excellency Ambassador Deepak Vohra, spoke about his experiences in the various countries he had visited as an Indian ambassador, and how empowering youth is equivalent to developing our future to the fullest. The participants comprised 202 delegates from 24 different schools from across Delhi NCR. The sessions focused on equality among today's youth and ethics in a globalised world, marked by two student presentations each and two expert speakers' opinions on them, followed by a Q and A session, where the audience could ask the experts or presenters questions related to the topic. The first session was followed by a round of tea and refreshments for all the participants. We were shown different insights and perspectives to today's world and society by the invited speakers, which included Mr. Mahesh Rangarajan, a history professor at the renowned Ashoka university and Dr. Shayama Chona, who is also patron and advisor of the host school, along with being one of the top educationalists in the world. The entire experience was exciting and enriching, full of learning facts on several topics from the experts and professors belonging to their respective fields.
