Suncity School’s Video Conference With Kirovograd School 25, Ukraine And Bal Bharati Public School.

A Video Conference was held with Ukraine and Indian Schools on 22 October 2019, as a part of Generation Global, an initiative by the Tony Blair Faith Foundation. The topic of the Conference was views on wealth, poverty and charity. Generation Global prepares students, giving them the skills and experience they need to navigate differences in a peaceful way.

The students explored the link between poverty and charity, what kinds of poverty students found in their communities, were asked to think about the importance of charity whether it is necessary and why,  and what faith says about the need to be charitable and other reasons for their passion (or lack of) for charity.

This enabled the students to get into larger questions about the ways that different religions and cultures approach issues  about the need to be positive people, care for others, if  we have the power of change” The students were able to refer from examples from their own backgrounds and engage in meaningful discussion.

Students from Grade XI who participated were Chhavi Ingle, Mrityunjaya Thakur, Simoni Sharma, Sheersh Kachhwaha, Vikram Tapadia, Madhurima Mandal, Nemika Sahni, Anisha Gupta, Tanishq Jakhar and Neel Khullar.
