Report – Marathon ‘Run For Security’ 25^th August’19

“Freedom in the Mind, Faith in the Words, Pride in our Souls. Let’s salute the nation”

On the occasion of 73^rd Independence Day of India, Suncity School organized a Marathon ‘RUN FOR SECURITY’ for parents and students on Sunday 25^th  August 2019 at Tau Devi Lal Stadium,Sector-38, Gurugram. The key focus of the Marathon was on the wellbeing of youth and building their connection with the Indian Armed Forces. This in turn helped to boost patriotism, unity and passion amongst the youth of the country. The campaign witnessed a huge success as 10,000 runners ran for the martyrs and paid tribute to 40 families of the martyrs. The event was attended by a lot of sport icons such as Baichung Bhutia among others to motivate the runners.

The Chairman Sir, Mr Ankit Goyal and Principal Ma’am, Mrs Sandeepa Rai along with the teachers also joined the marathon to support the cause. The parents and students of Suncity School came together in large numbers for the marathon and supported this noble cause, saluting the spirit of patriotism.

They were duly encouraged for their participation as the participants were awarded with gift vouchers from prestigious sports brands, T-shirts, and participation certificates signed by the Sports Minister for India.

Everyone ran with their might and love for their country and spreading the message of ‘Healthy India, Fit India’.

‘Run for Security’ was a great success that aimed at achieving good health of the citizens as healthy people make a healthy nation. It was also a perfect tribute and a salute to our soldiers, the real heroes, for their sacrifices and undying spirit for protecting our country.
