SPIC MACAY-The Society for the promotion of Indian classical music and

Culture amongst youth that fosters the growth of traditional Indian values.

 It organised a Bharatnatayam dance performance by Ms. GeetaChandran& her Group on October 10, 2018 at Suncity School Gurgaon.

 The program commenced with the lighting of the lamp by the distinguished guests and artists.

The occasion turned out to be a superlative dance-drama odyssey transcended into the realm of the sublime with distinguished Bharatnatayam dancerMs. GeetaChandran, Nattuvangam virtuoso Guru S.Shankar, expert vocalist Shri K Venkateshwaran, proficient mridangam player Shri Manohar Balatachandirane, the very talented Shri RajatPrasanna on the Flute, the very graceful Ms.AmritaShruti& Ms. MadhuraBhrijangi as the Dance assistants.

Together they showcased a confluence of emotions, ideas and expression. It was also an enlightening session for the budding dancers as Ms. GeetaChandraninteracted with the students and explained how and why Bharatnatayam and other classical dances are important.

The programme ended with question answer round. The artists were felicitated by Mrs KundaMahurkar, Gurgaon Spic Macay Coordinator and Mrs. Rupa Chakravarty the principal of Suncity School Gurgaon.

The students and staff witnessed the propitious programme. It was truly divine and was absolutely an incomparable experience for the audience.
