Suncity School, Gurgaon celebrated the 72^nd Independence Day with unprecedented patriotic fervour on Aug 15, 2018.

The principal Mrs. Rupa Chakravarty conferred the Vice Chairman, Mr. Ankit Goyal and his wife Mrs.Mansi Goyal as the guests of honour. The head girl of the school, Trisha Chatterji welcomed the guests, as she recalled the freedom struggle.

The Vice Chairman and the principal unfurled the flag from the ramparts of the Suncity School marking India as a free nation and the entire school rendered the National Anthem.

 After the anthem there was house-wise march past. Students marched in contingents to the beat of drum while the vice-chairman and the principal presided over it. The Chairman then reminding the students, the teachers and the guests of the sacrifices made by our great freedom fighters and the incredible progress that the nation has made in the last 71 years. He urged the students to serve their motherland, India with heart, body, and soul to bring it glory and laurels with their dignified deeds.

The gamut of celebration activities held on the campus consisted of rendition of patriotic songs, display of yoga postures, skills of the basketball mavens, the poise of the aerobics connoisseurs and the expertise of the taekwondo dilettantes.  Followed by the dance-act highlighting the evolvement of the national flag. The stupendous spectacleinfused everyone with unparalleled patriotism.

On this propitious day, the school management honoured the Grade XII school topper,AlenRuel and Grade X worldwide topper in the disabled category, Anushka Panda for their exemplary performance in the CBSE Board examination.

The Head Boy of the School, SivantDosanj delivered the Vote of Thanks and extended a heartfelt gratitude to the management for their thorough involvement and giving the learners an enormous platform tolearn and evolve, Principal, Ms.Rupa Chakravarty for her unflinching guidance, the teachers for extending their unwavering involvement, the parents for shoring up and encouraging the learners, the fellow-students for their enthusiasm and the ancillary staff for their undeniable support.
