Grade VII conducted its Parent Walk In on August 1, 2018

The theme for the walk in this year was GENESIS: ROOTED TO ROOTS

Parent walk in is a platform where students display and explain the work done by them in various subjects during the first term. The teachers relate the topics in all subjects to the theme and students perform trans -disciplinary activities. This is a unique way of learning as students revise the topics studied by explaining them to their parents.

The programme started with a poem on Root by two students in the common area, followed by class wise performance in the class rooms.

The students explained various activities and topics done by them to their parents via plays in languages, experiments in science, models in Social Science, interactive activities and quiz in Math.

Almost every parent gave a very positive feedback of the walk in, they applauded the performances, confidence of students and efforts put in by teachers in the feedback forms. They were extremely appreciative of the way topics were taught. Parents also appreciated the fact that there was 100% participation and every child of the class participated in this interactive activity.

The Parents Walk In on the whole was an enriching experience where students gained confidence by making presentations to their parents and revised their concepts.
