Suncity School ‘ElementaryYears Programme’ celebrated its 12^th Annual Fiesta-“THE BLUE DOT – Being Futuristic and Divergent”onSaturday, 17^thMarch, 2018. The children showcased their landmark achievements amidst a colorful cultural programme. Four hundred and sixtystudents participated in the programme. ElementaryYearsProgrammestudents participated in full strength. The show began with addressing the august gathering and presentation of bouquets to the guest and management.

This was followed by the “Lighting of the Lamp”ceremony by our Chairman Mr.LaxmiNarain Goel, Madam Sulochana Goel,Vice Chairman Mr. Ankit Goel,Madam Mansi Goel, Mr.ArpitGoel,Madam Namrata Goel, Mrs. Dhoot and Mr. Akshay Dhoot, all escorted by our Principal, Mrs. Rupa Chakravarty.

The programmebegan with an obeisance to Lord with the Prayer dance- Our Father.It was a soul stirring performance by our little ones.Our Chairman, Mr. LaxmiNarain Goel addressed the gathering. Mr. Ankit Goel, Vice ChairmanSuncity Schooladdressed the packed house and shared his vision and thoughts on values, ethics and effective parenting.

“Juvenalia” is also an occasion to present to the parents an annual report on the activities and accomplishments of the school in the preceding year. Principal, Mrs. Rupa Chakravarty presented “The Prologue”, an annual report which high-lighted the academic and co –curricular achievements of the students.

The cultural programmefor Juvenalia 2018 was based on the, Futuristic Divergent theme -The Blue Dot, which has been deserted by all, but spiders. When the spiders meet from across the world carrying N-95 masks, they are shocked to see that there are no earthlings on the planets, except themselves. The oldest spider shares that unfortunately, the earthlings couldn’t survive anymore on this corrupted and polluted planet. So, they try to find an alternative abode. The spiders endeavor to reach another planet by weaving webs into the sky. They meet the Sky God who shares that one of his Alien friends has told him that the earthlings are planning to inhabit here.

Listening to this plan the aliens suggest the earthlings that this doesn’t seem to be an acceptable plan for the human race, rather why don’t they look for some resources to focus on the solutions to save Earth, rather than escaping it. 

The Earthlings realized their responsibility to deal their planet more kindly with one another, and to preserve and cherish The Blue Dot, the only home they have ever known.

The show came to an end by showcasing citizens coming from across the globe to come together and work in harmony to save their Blue Dot.

A mesmerizing cultural show with 100% participation of students grabbed the attention of the audience.

Throughout the show, the students, resplendent in various costumes,allured the audience with their scintillating and contemporary dance performances. The event ended with a grand finale, amesmerized and spellbound performance of Suncity children,with a curtain call where all the students took a final bow to the thunderous applause from the audiences and finally the event culminated by vote of thanks and National Anthem.

Parents were full of appreciation for the children. It was difficult for them to believe that the show was put up by the children aged between 4-6 years.
