Social Science and Performing Arts Week 16th To 20th October

The art of expression has always been with us before the arrival of written language as  one of the essential factors in the development of human civilization.

The Social Science and Performing Arts Week took place from 16th -20th October during which a dynamic fusion of both the subjects was showcased. A series of engaging assemblies and activities were meticulously planned to seamlessly blend the realms of Social Sciences and the Performing Arts.

On Monday, 16th October, Primary students attended an assembly with the theme Spotlight on Difference Makers. This assembly showcasd eminent personalities who have made significant differences in their respective fields. The event not only entertained and inspired the students but also encouraged critical thinking, appreciation for social sciences, and the creative expressions of performing arts. This integration was designed to promote a holistic understanding of how societal change and individual actions can impact the world.

Students dove into research to understand the historical and cultural context of their chosen dance. This allowed them to appreciate the significance of the dance within the specific culture it represents. They not only shared the history and cultural significance of the chosen dance but also practiced and performed it in front of their peers. This dual focus on research and performance enriched their learning experience and showcased their creativity.

The Jazz Style Icons activity inspired students to delve into the lives and contributions of great personalities in the fields of music and dance.
