Grade IV- Parents Walk

In keeping with the experiential way of learning that the school follows, students of Grade IV showcased various activities and projects to their parents on Wednesday, 4th October, 2023 woven around the theme of SDG-12, Responsible Consumption and Production. The school believes in transparency and hence a unique event called the Parents’ Walk-in is held for all classes. This is a novel concept in which roles are reversed and students ‘teach’ and explain to their parents, concepts learnt through the month.

This event gave ample opportunity to the students to improve their creativity, communication as well as confidence. They developed other 21st century skills like research, collaboration as well as presenting to an audience. The knowledge of SDG 12 took them one step forwards towards being global citizens. Learning about SDG-12 brought awareness about food wastage and waste management.

Students not only quizzed the parents but also got them to create poetry during this lively and interactive session. The parents were gifted a sample of lemon pickle that the students had made in class while learning about food preservation. With a generous sprinkling of music, dance and theatre interspersed in all subject areas, the day was full of excitement and joy. The lavish accolades from the parents made the entire project a very fruitful experience.
