Suncity School celebrated the 76th Independence Day along with its students and parents on 15th August, 2023. There were several cultural programmes to ignite and strengthen the spirit of patriotism through various performances. The programme commenced with a march past by all the four houses which was followed by a colourful tableau presented by the tiny tots of the Early Years programme. A drill showcasing the National symbols of India ensued followed by a patriotic song performance and an instrumental musical performance. The final event, a dance drama named ‘Bharat-Ek Darshan’ helped students to pay their respect to some great Indians like Dr. B.R. Ambedkar and Dr APJ Abdul Kalam. . The School chairman, Mr Ankit Goel and the School Director, Mrs. Rupa Chakraborty hoisted the National Flag with pride and felicitated the winners of the Best March past and the Grade XII Class Topper, Palak Jain by rewarding them with a trophy and a laptop respectively. The entire school community collectively commemorated the sacrifices of all those who make the freedom we enjoy today a reality. The celebrations ended on a happy note as everyone enjoyed Kite flying.
