Combating the Deadly Mosquito Menace

In the battle against dengue, awareness is the first line of defence; with this objective in mind, a Dengue Awareness Programme was planned to educate communities about this life-threatening disease spread by mosquitos and its preventive measures. 
Students from grades VII and VIII visited Ghata village on Wednesday, 26th July 2023 to curb the spread of dengue, which affects millions worldwide annually. People were urged to maintain clean surroundings, use mosquito nets, and wear protective clothing. Emphasizing the importance of early diagnosis and medical intervention, the programme empowered residents to identify symptoms of dengue and seek timely treatment. 

Students actively participated in discussions on preventive measures and donated various mosquito-repellent coils and ointments along with masks, sanitizers etc. 

Conclusion: This experience sensitized our young learners to the importance of active participation in dengue prevention. Thus, ensuring a reduction in the incidence of dengue in our region and safeguarding public health.
