A theatre workshop was organised for the students of Suncity School International Academia on Friday, 19th April 2024 in the multipurpose room, International Academia Block. The workshop was facilitated by Mr. Gaurav Kumar, an expert theatre practitioner. The aim of the workshop was to engage the students in team-building and personality development activities, using theatre techniques.

The workshop began with meditation to help students calm down and connect with their inner selves. Once their focus was firmly on the workshop, Mr. Kumar began unravelling one interesting activity after the other. These activities included free body movements, breathing exercises, enactments, visualisations, improvisations and role plays. These activities gave an opportunity to the students to connect with each other and learn new and innovative techniques that employed auditory, visual, kinesthetic and tactile elements. These activities were designed to promote an awareness in students about themselves and their surroundings and enhance their self-belief.

The workshop helped the students shed their inhibitions and proved to be an immersive experience. They expressed their keen interest in participating in more of such activities in the future.
