Annual Fiesta ‘Juvenalia’ 2025: A Celebration of Hope and Resilience

March 8, 2025

The students of EYP1, EYP2 and EYP3 celebrated their Annual Fiesta, ‘Juvenalia’, on Saturday, 8 th March 2025, centred around the theme ‘Phoenix—A Symbol of Hope, Resilience and Rebirth’.

The event commenced with a warm welcome extended to the august gathering by the Junior Head Boy and Junior Head Girl, followed by bouquet presentations and the traditional ‘Lighting of the Lamp’ ceremony. The Managing Trustee, Mr. Laxmi Narain Goel, Madam Sulochana Goel, Chairman, Mr. Ankit Goel and Madam Mansi Goel, along with other distinguished guests, were escorted to the ceremony by our Director, Mrs. Rupa Chakravarty and the Vice-Principal of the Elementary Years Programme, Ms. Sangeeta Bagchi. The audience was captivated as the children recited a sacred shloka during the ceremony.

Chairman Mr. Ankit Goel welcomed the gathering, emphasizing the significance of such programmes in fostering children's holistic development. He further highlighted the relevance of this year’s theme, noting its profound message of resilience, renewal and the ability to rise from adversity with hope and determination. This was followed by a floral tribute to Lord Shiva, presented through a soul-stirring performance by the students.

‘Juvenalia’ also serves as an occasion to present the school’s annual report. Our Director, Mrs. Rupa Chakravarty, shared ‘The Prologue’, highlighting students' academic and co-curricular achievements. Following this, the Managing Trustee, Mr. Laxmi Narain Goel, addressed the parents, reflecting on the school’s progress, the role of environment and peers in personal development and the teachers' contribution in shaping students’ growth.

The cultural showcase, ‘The Gift of the Phoenix – A Story of Hope and Resilience’, beautifully captured the essence of transformation through adversity. It depicted Mother Goose’s journey in Rhyme Land, where she harnessed the power of love and teamwork to dispel the dark magic of a tyrant wizard. Beloved nursery rhyme characters, including Humpty Dumpty, Little Bo-Peep and Old King Cole, united to restore joy and harmony, highlighting the enduring strength of kindness and unity.

The event was a visual delight, featuring vibrant costumes and mesmerizing dance performances. The grand finale saw all students take a final bow to thunderous applause. The event concluded with a note of gratitude from an EYP3 student and a heartfelt rendition of the National Anthem.

The event was a grand success, evoking a mix of happiness, pride and emotion as parents watched their children perform before a large audience. The mesmerized expression on their faces was a beautiful sight.
