The assembly forms a sacrosanct part of Suncity School; for all classes from Elementary years to High School. The objectives are three-pronged – To congregate as a family and to develop bonds while evoking God’s blessings; to use the assembly as a platform to showcase the talents of all the students through various activities likeprayer, thought for the day, NEWS, oratory, acting in skits, singing, dancing, quizzing; in other words all forms of performing arts and much more and lastly to highlight students’ achievements at inter-house, school, inter-school, district, state, national and international levels in various academic and co-curricular activities besides making relevant announcements and celebrating birthdays. There are also reputed speakers and demonstration of new learnings, products, services made available by organizations, showcased through the platform provided by the assembly. During dispersal from assembly, each child is greeted individually by Head of the school and Heads to help further consolidate the bonding which keeps the Suncity family together.


Special assemblies are held for Elementary year students and students of classes I and II on a weekly basis from October and May respectively where parents are called to the assembly as spectators. A theme/concept relevant to their learning is showcased during the assembly with prayers from different religions, thought for the day, news, a skit interspersed with music, dance, acrobatics and more. For classes III and above, Special assemblies are held during ‘Beyond the text’ Subject weeks wherein students go by the theme of the year in the context of their curriculum The students plan, prepare and present very important and pertinent themes to highlight their learning through these special assemblies.
