The well-being of a child is of foremost importance at Suncity School whether it be physical or emotional. The school infirmary or well-being centre, thus caters to the physical and emotional welfare of each child.
It provides the services of a resident doctor/ physician and a nurse during the school hours. They are responsible for attending to illness and injury during school timings. The four bedded infirmary is well equipped with the necessary medical equipment. The prescribing physician conducts regular checkups of the children each academic semester, that is twice a year. A professional counselor is also a part of the well-being centre/ infirmary to support students who are experiencing emotional or psychological difficulties. The counselor ensures confidentiality and is equipped to cater to the child’s psychological or emotional needs by providing counseling/ guidance through individual sessions or collaborative discussions.
She even addresses specific learning difficulties. The holistic personality development of the child is of prime importance hence the physical, emotional and mental needs of a child are catered to through the well-being centre.
